About Me

Hello, my name is Zelly Lisanework. I'm a creative and inter-sectional activist living in Suffolk who writes a lot and plays a lot. I write about life, the arts, and people. This blog was created in 2013 but I've been a bad egg by not updating often so I'm trying to turn over a new page ( love a good cheddar writing pun) and made a vow to be regular....ish. I was born in Ethiopia and moved to the UK when I was 11 and spent most of my time growing up in the coastal town of Southwold. I have a lot of love for the countryside and the seaside so Suffolk will always have my heart. Africa is in my soul.

I enjoy dipping original Kit Kat fingers into peanut butter, way better than buying actual peanut butter flavoured Kit Kats, trust me! I read a lot of books and own many, they fill my shelves, desk and sometimes the floor. Some of my favourite writers include William Blake, Terence Rattigan, Charlotte Bronte, Sarah Waters, Maya Angelou, Alice Walker, Toni Morrison… I’ll stop now. I play the piano, the ukulele and sing; they calm me as does the odd doodling in ink and watercolour. I drink a lot of Chai Tea, Prosecco is a close second.

I hope you enjoy my ramblings !

If anyone wishes to collaborate with me, PR companies and bloggers the like; then please email me at htproductions@live.co.uk
